Admission Process
We are pleased that you have decided to become a candidate for admission to St. Mark’s School. Our application process requires prospective students to follow several steps over the course of the admission cycle. All steps necessary to complete the application process are outlined below. Schedule a Visit to St. Mark’s
An interview is REQUIRED as part of the application process, so please schedule a visit to St. Mark’s. Contact the Admission Office at 508-786-6118 right away as our appointment calendar fills quickly. If you are unable to visit the school, we will try to arrange for an area admission representative to meet with you near your home.
Required Testing
The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is required for all applicants. For more information on registration and test dates, please call SSATB in Princeton, NJ at 609-683-4440 or via the web at www.ssat.org. To ensure St. Mark’s receives your score report, our SSAT school code is 6730.
The Test of English as a Foreign Languge (TOEFL) is required of all applicants whose primary language is not English. For more information, please call TOEFL at 609-771-7100 or via the web at www.toefl.com. To ensure St. Mark’s receives your score report, our TOEFL school code is 9222.
Complete Application
The completed application (Parts I, II, III), Family Information form and the application fee must be postmarked by January 31 for the first round of admission decisions. You can apply online, download the application, or contact our office at 508-786-6118 to request an application package by mail.

Recommendation Forms
Bring the English, foreign language, and math forms to your current teachers along with stamped envelopes addressed to St. Mark’s. Ask them to complete the forms after November 1 and return them to our office by January 31. If you are not enrolled in a foreign language course, please have a history or science instructor complete that form. The Special Interest Recommendation form is optional. St. Mark’s accepts the Common Recommendation form.
School Report Form and Home Schooling Supplement
Ask a school official to send the completed School Report form and a complete transcript from the previous and current year. In addition, submit updated grades through February when they become available.
Home schooled students are required to submit the Home Schooling Supplement. You may download a printable copy or contact the admission office to have one mailed.
St. Mark’s Recommendation Forms
Letter of Decision and Re-Visit Days
Letters of decision will be mailed on March 10, and your reply is expected by April 10. The admission re-visit days are scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, 2007 and Saturday, April 7, 2007.
