Each year, St. Mark’s artists create ceramic bowls to sell at a fundraiser to fight hunger around the world, beginning with local communities. This year, despite the rain, which moved them indoors, Ms. Belt and her intrepid potmakers once again, over Prize Day weekend, raised money to assist in relieving hunger. Purchasers could also enjoy bowls of ice cream while contributing to a worthy cause.
$1734 was raised to benefit a local food pantry. “Hannah Fuller ’15, Blaire Zhang ’16, and Rachell Millerick ’14 worked all year to make bowls for this fundraiser,” said Ms. Belt, “and Emelee Pineda ‘16 and Kristen Smith ‘15 also helped tremendously. I am proud of their generosity of time, talent and care to help those in need.”
