Soccer - JV Boys at Roxbury Latin

AWAY
Result: 1-2 L
St. Mark’s had some good attacks in the opening minutes with shots from Joseph Cho and Jacob Richards. Roxbury Latin opened the scoring eighteen minutes in with a well-struck shot, and ten minutes later added a second, with a powerful header off a corner. In the second half, the Lions played with renewed energy. The defense repulsed Roxbury Latin attacks with Drew Pfirrman making a sterling contribution to this effort. On attack, Eric Mulvey and Greg Sachs made some great runs, while midfielder Nick Bertonazzi also launched and led promising forays toward the RL goal. The Lions’ persistence was rewarded in the twenty-fourth minute of the half when Sang Min Theo Lee scored on a textbook header. St. Mark’s pressured hard for the rest of the game, but alas despite many thrilling close calls, an equalizer proved elusive. Even so the Lions' second half performance made this a great game to watch.
