International Students Guide

Welcome to the St. Mark’s International Students’ Handbook! At St. Mark’s School we have a proud history of educating students from around the world. As an international student you bring a valuable and important perspective to the school and your presence increases our sense of global citizenship. We hope that this website will serve as a resource for you and your parents as you navigate your way to St. Mark’s and while you are enrolled as a student here.

In these pages you will find explanations of the services that are in place at St. Mark’s to support you. You will also find explanations of some of our key programs, the philosophies behind those programs, and the best ways in which you and your parents can take advantage of those programs. Coming to a new school and a new country can be challenging and overwhelming so we also offer some tips for you as you work to become acclimated to your new environment. If you have questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to your Advisor, your House Head and House Faculty, to the International Student Advisor, to a School Counselor, to a Chaplain, to our Community and Equity team, to other students or to me. Our primary goal is to make sure that you have as smooth and easy a transition to St. Mark’s School as is possible! Perhaps most important of all is that you be patient with yourself as you make all the necessary adjustments to a new school, a new culture, and a new environment.
