Biography
In addition to being a faculty member of the Mathematics Department, Dr. Tanton is an adjunct professor for Northeastern University and founding director of the St. Mark’s Institute of Mathematics. He has written two texts, Solve This: Mathematical Activities for Students and Clubs and The Facts on File Encyclopedia of Mathematics, and is passionate about sharing the joy of doing mathematics with one and all. He lives on campus with his wife, Lindy, son, Turner, and their three border collies.
