  • 200+ Guests Enjoy Outstanding 2014 Reunion Weekend

    From Thursday through Sunday, June 12-15, more than 200 guests enjoyed the 2014 St. Mark's Reunion Weekend. Four days of special events were highlighted by class reunion dinners on Friday evening and the traditonal New England Clambake on Saturday night. A variety of offerings for alumni and children filled out the successful celebration.

  • Seven Inducted into St. Mark's Athletic Hall of Fame

    This past Saturday, June 14, as part of the St. Mark’s 2014 Reunion Weekend, seven graduates were inducted into the St. Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame. One coach and St. Markers from each of the past five decades were welcomed into the SM Hall at a ceremony in the Hinkle Room by Head of School John C. Warren ’74 and Tarah Donoghue Breed ’00, Chair of the SM Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. Following a special video presentation—St. Mark’s Athletics Past & Present—each inductee was introduced by a presenter, and then accepted membership in the St. Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

  • Busy Summer on Campus for SM Camps

    The St. Mark’s campus will be extremely busy this summer, with a variety of programs utilizing the SM facilities. A major feature will be the debut of the week-long St. Mark’s/Salzburg Global Citizenship Institute in July. Also, the two-week i2 STEM day camp program for middle school students in August.

  • War Memorials Return Alongside New Service Gallery

    It has been more than a year since the memorials for St. Markers who died in World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam graced the walls of the Hinkle Room lobby. A complete refinishing of the wood paneling in that area and the necessity to re-mat and re-frame some of the portraits took time. These tributes to sixty alumni who gave their lives in the service of their country are now back up, alongside a brand new St. Mark’s Service Gallery, intended to celebrate and honor all kinds of service.

    French Teacher Stephen Lynch Retires after 30 Years at St. Mark’s

    On Saturday evening, June 7, a party was held celebrating the career and legacy of Stephen Lynch, who is retiring from St. Mark’s after thirty years of teaching French. Dr. Lynch was honored by current and former colleagues, family, friends, and by generations of alumni and even current students at the event, held in the Dining Hall.

    Shortly before Prize Day, St. Mark’s students held their annual Havoc-on-the-Hardwood fundraiser. This year, the event benefited service projects involving St. Mark’s long term partner school: the Waterford-Kambhlaba United World College of Southern Africa in Swaziland.

    On Friday, June 6, St. Mark’s held its annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon in the Putnam Family Arts Center’s Class of 1951 Lobby. Head of School John C. Warren ’74 and Business Manager Robert Meyer hosted the event, and they and other members of the administration team recognized various staff departments and individuals for their contributions to the School over the past year.

    SM Alumnae Outstanding at NCAA Rowing Championships

    Two St. Mark’s graduates—Liza McBride ’11 and Aisling Ryan ’10—excelled at this year’s NCAA Women’s Rowing Championship Regatta, held on June 1st at Indianapolis. McBride, a junior, was part of the Princeton 2nd Varsity boat that won a Silver Medal, in an amazing finish against #1 Ohio State, the top women's rowing program in the country. Ryan, a senior at Bates, rowed in the 1st Varsity 8 boat which finished fourth overall in the Grand Final, as the 4th fastest Division III crew in the nation.
