On Friday, May 11, the annual St. Mark's BROADWAY NIGHT was held in Benson. There was music from Wicked, Camelot, The Pirates of Penzance, The Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom, The Sound of Music, Ragtime, Oliver, She Loves Me, My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, The King and I, Song and Dance, Ain't Misbehavin', and The Baker's Wife performed by a host of talented St. Markers.

This year's event was aq benefit for the Orphanage Program of the Romanian Children's Relief Organization. For the past several years now, St. Mark's students have had the extraordinary opportunity to help orphans and children with special needs in Romania through the Fundatia Inocenti foundation and the Romanian Children's Relief Organization. Annual ten-day trips to Romania have allowed St. Markers to take care of and play with babies under the age of one who would otherwise be sitting alone in their cribs. These trips have been life-changing experiences for every single student participant. St. Markers work to raise money in advance of these trips to be able to donate necessities such as diapers, medicine, clothing, toys, and more. This year's BROADWAY NIGHT is central to their fundraising efforts.

On Friday there were refreshments served along with the terrific music, all appreciated by the audience. The 2012 St. Mark's BROADWAY NIGHT was a definite success!
