Co-Teams of the Week:
Varsity Football: The St. Mark’s Varsity football team defeated St. George’s last Saturday 53-14, earning their first win of the regular season. Led by VI Former Mark Upton’s six touchdown performance, as well as the passing of Logan Lee ‘15 and terrific receiving from Daryl Scales ’14 and Aaron McLean ’15, the Lions registered the most points scored by a St. Mark’s team since 1912. Coach Camp’s team executed perfectly behind its well-drilled offensive line. The Lions defense, too, came up with some fine plays.

Varsity Boys’ Soccer: The St. Mark’s Varsity boys’ soccer team achieved a real milestone when they defeated ISL soccer powerhouse Nobles 4-1 last Wednesday. The victory over the Bulldogs was the first in 19 seasons. On Saturday, the Lions came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat St. George’s 5-3. The team scored a total of nine goals last week in the two ISL wins.

Upton also had 14 tackles, including five tackles for a loss, and caused a fumble on defense. He was one of four athletes named “Player of the Week” by the Boston Globe and was named “Star of the Week” in the Boston Herald.
