Last week, IV Form students participated in a “Hunger Banquet”. They were invited to Benson with the promise of “free pizza”. Upon arrival, only one table of students received an ample supply of several pizzas, representing the bounty of an upper class family or a first world nation. Another group received a single pizza, which they had to share, representing the struggles of a global middle class or a second world country. The remainder received nothing, or, on occasion, a single slice of pizza to either be hoarded by the individual recipient or to be doled out in tiny portions to the rest of the group.
