St. Mark's Society

The St. Mark’s Society is the school’s principal community service and social outreach organization. Led by a team of student officers and program leaders, the group meets weekly to oversee its sponsorship of regular and special projects and events that help create school spirit and raise funds for various programs of outreach to the community.

Fund Raising

The Society has been raising funds to provide for the welfare of families and children in the Marlboro and Worcester area during holiday seasons and other times of the year. Through various fundraisers and appeals it also maintains an emergency cash fund to provide for immediate disbursements throughout the world in times of crisis. At the end of each academic year, additional funds are dispersed on recommendation of the School community and vote of the Society officers. Other projects are generated to meet specific needs as directed by the officers.

The students of St. Mark's Society, the community-service organization at St. Mark's School in Southborough, raised almost $23,000 during the last academic year to support various programs and ministries, including the ministries of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem & the Middle East, together with a revolving micro-lending project and a revolving emergency- relief fund for immediate disbursement.  This fund-raising is in addition to the many weekly service projects, involving more than 80 students over the course of the year, at sites in the surrounding community
