Reverend Molly Scherm

The Rev. Molly Scherm has been Dean of Students at St. Mark’s since 2000. Prior to coming here, she spent 22 years at Northfield Mount Hermon School as a teacher, dorm head, department head, and dean. In addition to her role as Dean of Students, the Dr. Scherm also teaches one course in the Religion Department and is part of the Chaplaincy. In her free time, when Dr. Scherm isn’t knitting feverishly, she is singings with the Assabet Valley Mastersingers, a local classical music chorus. While she resides during the school year on Choate Circle, Dr. Scherm also maintains a home in Maine, where she likes to spend time with her grown children.
Michael O’Donnell

Mr. O'Donnell came to St. Mark’s in 2005 after teaching Latin and history for three years at a school in Miami. Besides serving as Associate Dean of Students, he is a member of the Classics Department, where he teaches Latin. He has a particular interest in Latin and Greek epic. Mr. O’Donnell also coaches cross-country and rowing at St. Mark’s, and serves as dorm head in Sawyer. He loves boats and enjoys hiking in his free time.

A member of the Dean’s office team since 2007, Ms. Marchman serves as the Director of Student Activities. She is passionate about building dynamic programs that support community and residential life. While a student, Ms. Marchman served as a proctor at Deerfield Academy and a Residential Advisor at Williams College - in both these positions she enthusiastically embraced the idea that diverse and interesting extra-curricular activities are a necessary component of the liberal-arts model; She brings this same commitment to her work at St. Mark’s. In addition to her work in the Dean’s office, Ms. Marchman teaches III Form Seminar and Music, coaches JV Field Hockey and Lacrosse and is a dorm resident in Gaccon.
