Assistant Varsity Football Coach

St. Mark’s School in Southborough, MA, seeks an assistant varsity football coach. This part-time position starts in late August and ends in mid-November. St. Mark’s enjoys a rich history in the sport of football and is a member of the Independent School League. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive understanding of football's tactical aspects, coaching experience, and a passion for helping teams and student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have playing experience and coaching experience at the high school and/or college level.
Oversee a position group on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
Experience and knowledge to potentially serve as an offensive or defensive coordinator, at the head coach’s discretion.
Ability to positively motivate, inspire, and serve as a role model to student-athletes
Attract and recruit student-athletes and families to St. Mark’s who will contribute to the school's overall educational program.

Responsibilities:

Manage a Monday-to-Saturday practice/game schedule, including travel to away opponents.
Assist with organizing and conducting practices that foster development and preparation.
Build a strong team culture that values leadership and service.

Salary:

$3,000 - $5,000, commensurate with experience.

St. Mark’s enjoys a rich history in the sport of cross country and is a member of the Independent School League and NEPSAC. The ideal candidate should have an extensive understanding of the sport's fundamental and tactical aspects, several years of coaching experience, and a passion for helping student-athletes reach their potential on and off the trails.

Qualifications:

● Candidates should have at least 3-4 years of coaching experience at the high school and/or college level.

● Ability to attract and recruit student-athletes and families to St. Mark’s who will contribute to the school's overall educational program.

We seek an educator who brings experience, enthusiasm, and skill in teaching Spanish with a commitment to thoughtful curriculum design.

This position does not come with school provided housing.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be a teacher, mentor, and co-creator of learning. Your role will include:

Teaching one section of Spanish III, which meets (during regular 5-day weeks) on Mondays 8:00-9:05 a.m., Tuesdays 12:55-2:00 p.m., and Thursdays 11:15 a.m.-12:20 p.m. (Note: the schedule will shift during 4-day and 3-day weeks.)
The opportunity to also cover a section of Spanish I may be possible, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability and the School’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

A degree in Spanish or a related, interdisciplinary field is essential
Native or near-native language skills in Spanish and English

We're looking for an Evening Library Assistant who enjoys working with young people and takes pride in creating an organized, supportive, and inclusive environment. What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of Library & Digital Learning, the Evening Library Assistant helps oversee the library during evening study hall while supporting students, faculty, and the daily operation of the space.

You will:

Supervise students during evening study hall while maintaining a quiet, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Help cultivate a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere for students, faculty, and staff.
Assist students and faculty with locating, accessing, and using library collections and digital learning resources.
Staff the circulation desk and respond to general library questions.
Shelve, organize, and maintain books, periodicals, technology, and other library materials.
Help ensure the library remains clean, organized, and inviting throughout the evening.
Support the daily operation of the library and perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to frequently bend, reach, stretch, and lift library materials weighing up to 20–30 pounds.
Ability to move throughout the library during the course of an evening shift.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods while assisting students and managing library resources.

Job Description

St. Mark’s School seeks a dynamic, highly organized, and collaborative Administrative Assistant & Office Manager to support the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment and oversee the daily operational, administrative, and hospitality functions of the Admission & Enrollment Office.

The ideal candidate will combine high-level administrative foresight with exceptional hospitality, ensuring smooth daily calendar and workflow execution for executive leadership while creating a welcoming, professional, and seamless environment for visiting prospective families, student tour guides, and campus partners. Additionally, this position will oversee and manage details of events, travel, presentations, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Support to the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment

Calendar & Priority Management: Proactively manage and optimize the Assistant Head’s calendar and meeting preparation.
Communication & Briefing: Draft, proofread, and prepare reports, presentations, and meeting agendas for internal and external audiences.
Travel & Expense Coordination: Handle domestic and international travel arrangements, itinerary details, and expense report processing for enrollment leadership and travel team members.

Office Management & Enrollment Operations

Hospitality: Assist/oversee the day-to-day presentation and climate of the Admissions office, ensuring a warm, inclusive, and professional atmosphere for prospective students, families, consultants, and campus visitors.
Daily Office Operations: Manage office inventory, supply ordering, budget tracking/invoicing processing, etc. (printing/collateral stock, coffee/refreshments).
Admissions Workflow Support: Serve as a key operational contact within the admissions database, assisting with visitor check-ins, record maintenance, and processing prospective family inquiries and emails.
Event Coordination: In collaboration with the Admissions team, coordinate logistics for key enrollment events, including Open Houses, Revisit Days, campus tours, off-campus receptions, etc.
Student Ambassador & Tour Guide Assistance: Assist in scheduling, tracking, and coordinating student tour guides and parent volunteers for campus visits and special events.

Qualifications & Competencies

Experience: Administrative support or office management experience, preferably in an independent school, higher education, or customer-centric non-profit environment.
Technical Skills: High proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with enrollment/admissions CRM databases and travel/expense software is strongly preferred.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Outstanding written, verbal, and listening skills. Ability to interact with diverse populations—including prospective families, alumni, trustees, faculty, and students—with warmth, discretion, and diplomatic tact.
Organizational Mastery: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume seasonal environment.
Discretion: Absolute integrity and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive student, financial aid, and personnel records.
