St. Mark’s Earns Eighth Consecutive A+ in Niche Rankings

St. Mark’s School has earned an A+ overall grade for the eighth consecutive year in Niche’s 2027 rankings, placing the School among the top 2% of ranked private high schools nationwide.
St. Mark’s also advanced in both state and regional standings. The School rose to No. 10 in Massachusetts, up from No. 11 last year, and No. 9 in the Boston area, up from No. 10. St. Mark’s remains the No. 1 private high school in Worcester County.
In addition to its overall A+, St. Mark’s received A+ grades in four categories that reflect the breadth of the student experience:
-
Academics
-
College Prep
-
Diversity
-
Resources & Facilities
The School also earned A grades for Teachers, Clubs & Activities, and Athletics.
A notable improvement came in Athletics, where St. Mark’s grade rose from B+ to A. That recognition follows a year featuring three Independent School League championships in girls’ tennis, boys’ basketball and boys’ squash, playoff appearances for both boys’ and girls’ hockey, and the football program’s first bowl game appearance in school history. Together, these achievements highlight the dedication of student-athletes and coaches across the program.
Niche’s rankings draw on academic and college enrollment data, school information, and reviews from students and families. For prospective families, this year’s results offer another perspective on a St. Mark’s education: rigorous academics, strong preparation for college, a diverse community, and opportunities to grow in the classroom and beyond.
