St. Mark’s Honors Alumni with Awards
Jackie Waters
On Friday, Apri 21, the St. Mark’s community celebrated the career contributions of eight graduates and inducted them into the Cloister of Distinguished Alumni during an all-School ceremony in the Putnam Family Arts Center’s Class of ’45 Hall.
Bruce B. Wilson ’54 (posthumously), The Right Reverend J. Clark Grew ’58, Dr. R. H. Ives. Goddard III ’59, and Peggy L. (Yeh) Ho ’91 were each honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest honor bestowed upon an alumna or alumnus. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the lifetime achievement of alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater.
Dr. Maria Castillo ’99, Nadine J. Dillon ’02, Victoria M. Morte ’06, and Alexander B. Ward ’08 were each presented with a Lives of Consequence Award. Given to those who have graduated from St. Mark’s School within the past 25 years, the Lives of Consequence Award recognizes mid-career professionals who are making a positive impact on their community and are oriented toward a purpose larger than themselves.
The expertise of these eight alumni spans a wide range of fields—from corporate law, religion, journalism, linguistics and anthropology to sustainability, immigration law, brand strategy and communications.
