On Sunday, May 21, St. Mark’s Director of Music James Wallace was honored with the Community Arts Service Award from Central Massachusetts' preeminent regional volunteer orchestra, Symphony Pro Musica. The award was presented to James for “his tireless support of the arts in the lives of countless young people.”
Symphony Pro Musica, under the direction of Mark Churchill, performed the final concert of their 40th season in St. Mark's Class of '45 Hall on Sunday. Of particular note was a brilliant performance of Bartok's Piano Concerto No. 3 featuring pianist Benjamin Hochman, who made St. Mark's stunning new Steinway D concert grand piano soar.
Congratulations, James!
