Talented St. Markers Honored in Regional Arts Competition

Three St. Markers—Lulu Eastman '18, Ji Woo Kang '20, and Amy Kim '20 (all pictured here)—recently received honors from the Boston Globe Scholastic regional arts competition.


Lulu Eastman, a VI Form boarder from Winchester, MA, won two Regional Gold Key awards for her paintings "Strings of Fate" and "Sunset at Horn Pond" (at left). Her work will go on to compete with other regions at the national level.


Amy Kim, a IV Former from Seoul, Korea, won a Regional Gold Key award in the non-fiction writing category, for her essay "Examining MONUSCO." She will also go on to compete nationally.

Ji Woo Kang, also a IV Former from Seoul, won a Regional Silver Key award for photography. Her prize-winning picture is entitled "Happy Time" (at right). She is invited to a special reception at Tufts University on March 17.
