In January, Nayla Aoude, owner of Aoude Mobil on Rt. 9 in Southborough, presented a $500 grant from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance to St. Mark's in support of the School's STEM program.
St. Mark's was nominated for the grant by the local Southborough Exxon Mobil facility operated by Nayla and Elias Aoude. Exxon Mobil is committed to "fueling young minds" through funding STEM programs at schools through the Educational Alliance. Since its inception, Exxon Mobil has committed more than $34 million nationwide, each year giving $500 grants to more than 4000 schools. This is all part of the company's effort to support STEM education within the communities it serves. Through its partnership with the Educational Alliance, Exxon Mobil helps give students the tools and technology they need to connect what they learn in the classroom with what they see in the real world.
Dean of Students David Vachris was on hand to accept the gift from Exxon Mobil.
