Lauren Ames enters her eighth year coaching soccer at St. Mark's and fifth season as head coach. Prior to St. Mark’s, Ames worked as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at her alma mater, St. Lawrence University. Ames was a four-year member of both the women’s soccer team and women’s basketball team at St. Lawrence, serving as a two-year captain on the soccer team and captain of the basketball team her senior year.

Ames, a versatile midfielder, earned All-Liberty League honors every season at St. Lawrence, including two seasons on the All-Liberty League First Team. She also earned a spot on the Liberty All-Academic Team every season of her career, in both soccer and basketball.

Ames earned her Coerver Coaching certification in 2012 and works with the Southborough Youth Soccer Association. She also worked with F.C. Freeze, a club team in upstate New York prior to coming to St. Mark's.

At St. Mark's, Ms. Ames is the Associate Director of Athletics, teaches Chemistry, serves as a House Head, and is also the Head Varsity girls' basketball coach. She lives in Thieriot North with her husband Matt and son Matthew.
