Coach Shortsleeve graduated from St. Sebastian's School and The College of the Holy Cross. He joined the St. Mark's coaching staff in 2018. While at St. Sebastian's, he competed on the football, hockey, and tennis teams. Shortsleeve also started in goal for the U18 495 Stars under coach Dan Esdale while in high school. Shortsleeve received a BA in Economics and a minor in Classics while serving as a goalie on the Holy Cross men's hockey team. After graduating college, Shortsleeve was the assistant coach at Weston High School under Carl Corazzini. Shortsleeve then served as the head coach of Weston High School from 2016-2018. Shortsleeve also currently works as a coach for Stop It Goaltending.

Ryan Davey was raised in Nashua, NH and spent his formative years in and around the Granite State. Ryan graduated from St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH where he lettered in football, ice hockey, and baseball. He went on to receive his B.A. from Saint Anselm College in Classics before receiving his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. While a full-time college student, Ryan finished his athletic career playing junior hockey in the EJHL for the Lowell Jr. Lock Monsters. Since college, Ryan has worked at the Salisbury School, Dexter-Southfield, and Avon Old Farms serving as a teacher, varsity coach, dorm head, advisor, and club head. Ryan is passionate about the holistic approach to education at boarding schools, and is excited to join the well-established community of St. Mark’s School. In his spare time Ryan enjoys playing guitar, creating multimedia projects, podcasting, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Ryanne (yes, pronounced the same as Ryan) have two daughters Quinn and Tess in addition to their dog, Ogie.
