Aggie Belt joined the Art Department in January 1991. She teaches Ceramics I, II, III and Sculpture. Over the years she has been active with the school's multicultural group, coached field hockey, assistant coach to lacrosse, soccer, and squash. Each year her pottery group has their annual Empty Bowl fundraiser for hunger. Her personal artwork has ranged from reductive carving to clay building and wheel throwing. She is an avid traveler and often incorporates what she has learned abroad into her work and classes. Aggie lives on campus with her family.

Yue Cao grew up in Shanghai, China, and went to Pomfret School in Connecticut. She received her B.A. in Mathematics, with a minor in Economics, from Smith College, where she was elected to Sigma Xi. Yue began her teaching career at Phillips Academy Andover, where she served as a teaching fellow in the Mathematics Department. In addition to teaching, she supervised a girls’ dorm and assisted with coaching boys’ novice crew. Prior to working at St. Mark’s she received her M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
