Biography Holder of the Weezie Foundation Chair in English, Dr. Peter Glomset has taught English at St. Mark’s since 2000. He teaches a wide variety of electives, including courses on contemporary Caribbean literature and on Dante. He is passionate about interdisciplinary writing, travel, and music of all kinds. Outside of the classroom, he coaches tennis.

Amanda Hultin joined both the Religion and English departments at St. Mark's in 2015. Currently, she teaches Religion. In addition to her responsibilities as a teacher, she also coaches the girl's cross country team and girl's J.V. tennis. Amanda co-lead the first Lions Roam course, called Life at 13,000 Feet, in which students studied and traveled to the Himalayas. Before coming to St. Mark's, she taught English and served as the 9th and 10th Grade Dean at Randolph School in Huntsville, Alabama. Amanda holds an Ed.M. in Mind, Brain and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She earned her B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Michigan. Her passion for the outdoors and for the arts provide ample opportunities for fun and adventure in her free time. She lives on campus with her dog Tashi.
