Anne Behnke was appointed as the director of admission at St. Mark’s in June 2004 after spending 13 years as dean of admission at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, California. She began her career in 1981 as an admission intern at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama; served as college counselor and taught psychology at a boarding school for girls in Grand Coteau, Louisiana; and spent seven years in college admissions. Outside of admission, she is a faculty adviser, a member of the Thayer House faculty team, and spends free time swimming and playing golf and tennis. When she is not traveling, you can find her in her office with her cocker spaniel.
