Christopher Welch has been coaching at St. Mark's since 2020, bringing a wealth of experience from both his competitive days and coaching career that has taken him from New Jersey to West Virginia to Massachusetts, spanning the youth to the collegiate level. Engaging with multiple Central MA high school programs and clubs over the years, he is devoted to fostering a positive team culture with a philosophy that centers on prioritizing skill development, discipline, and sportsmanship to cultivate well-rounded athletes. Coach Welch actively advocates for wrestling's character-shaping capacity, recognizing its profound impact on young individuals. Beyond his coaching duties, Coach Welch enjoys and places great importance on moments spent with his daughters Megan and Alex, son TJ, and their dog, Brody.
