Return to Campus

Self-quarantine Requirements

All St. Mark’s students are asked to limit their contacts for 14 days before coming to School to prevent exposure to others with infectious disease. Students from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and New Jersey can do so at home, as long as they take private transportation to school. Students who do not reside in these states are instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days in one of these states before arriving at St. Mark's.

All persons are instructed not to travel to Massachusetts if they are displaying symptoms of COVID-19. Once a student and his/her family (if they are accompanying them) have quarantined and can get to campus via private transportation (continuing to adhere to quarantine guidelines) there is no further quarantine required once they arrive on campus.

The current structure of our residential houses does not support the capability to provide this 14-day quarantine on campus in our residential houses or faculty housing. St. Mark’s has secured a block of rooms at the Residence Inn Boston Framingham between August 25 and September 10 at rates of $89-$99 per night. The last day to book online is Tuesday, August 4. Click here to book your room. We are working with a concierge service to provide supervision. If you wish to make your own arrangements for a quarantine stay, please refer to the local lodging options on this page.

Testing

Students should be tested for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, 3-7 days prior to coming to campus and bring documentation of a negative PCR test result upon arrival at school. It is best to start by requesting an order from your child’s primary care physician. Be sure that the provider knows that you are planning to have your child attend school with other students who live in a congregate residential setting. This test is a requirement of the school before your child can come to campus. There are urgent care centers in our area which also offer tests: https://www.afcurgentcaremarlborough.com https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing
