VI Form Recognition Advertisements
Looking for a way to let your graduating student know you're proud of them? A family interested in celebrating their graduating VI Former can purchase a recognition advertisement here. With this link, you can design and pay for your ad. The cost is $100 for 1/4 page, $200 for 1/2 page, and $400 for a full page. The deadline to complete your ad is January 31. If you experience any issues or have questions about your ad, please contact our Jostens yearbook representative, Chris Spelman.
New Opt-out System for Yearbook Sales
This year, we will use an opt-out system for yearbook sales. If you or your students DOES NOT want a copy of the yearbook, please directly email Ms. Starry Zhu or Ms. Lauren Kelly by January 31. We will also make announcements at School Meeting and remind students via email.
First Semester Closed
Our second grading window, and first semester, closed on Thursday, January 16. Faculty are now at work providing feedback and determining grades. As a reminder, faculty compose narrative comments to accompany grades at the close of Window One and Window Three, and advisor letters as a summative report of student progress at the close of Semester One and Semester Two.
- Thursday, January 16: Window Two/Semester One closes
- Friday, January 31: Grades available in NetClassroom
Second Semester Add/Drop
Second-semester courses begin on Tuesday, January 21. Students may make changes to semester courses only through the add/drop period, which ends on Friday, January 24. Please be in touch with your student's advisor if you have any questions.

Admission & Financial Aid News
This is a friendly reminder to all of our returning financial aid families about the application for 2020-2021. The official application deadline for the PFS was January 15. Please complete the PFS as soon as possible and remember to prepare 2019 tax materials for submission to SSS by March 1.
If you have a younger child who is applying to St. Mark's for next year, please remember that both the admission application and interview deadlines are fast approaching. That date for both is Friday, January 31. Thank you!
Opera Trip: Monday, February 3
The annual Opera Trip is taking place on Monday, February 3. Please note that day students need to access Boardingware and have their parents submit the required form to the School. Additionally, students are not allowed to return home for the weekend and meet us in New York City. The trip is down and back on a bus. Students are required to wear chapel dress/dressy clothes. We are excited and look forward to seeing the new staging of Traviata!
Robotics Update: Team 3566
We are nearing the end of our second week of working and have made lots of progress. This week, Field Elements finished working on the trench and the control panel. Both will be used to practice before the final competition. We have finished building the hardware for the drive train, and are working on the software. Both prototypes have been completed and put to the test. Check out our blog here to see our progress. In the upcoming weeks, we hope to fix problems with our current prototypes and edit code that software is working on.
Chilean Exchange Students
The next group of six exchange students and two faculty from Grange School, Santiago, Chile will arrive the afternoon of Monday, January 20, and stay until Saturday, February 15. We are very excited about the arrival of our new guests!
Girls' Varsity Basketball Works with Local 6th Graders
On Saturday afternoon, January 11, the St. Mark's girls' varsity basketball team hosted the local Southborough sixth grade travel basketball team for a special practice. Read More.

Casino Night A Big Success
Casino Night was a huge success thanks to the tremendous support from our parents who volunteered to serve as dealers and hosts. Many thanks to Kelly Requadt for assembling and coordinating the event and volunteers. Thanks also to the generous parents who gave items for the raffle.
The Annual Fund now totals $1.42 million, which is 59 percent toward our goal of $2.4 million. Thank you to the 141 families that have already made a gift this year! With just under six months to go this fiscal year, we are confident that with the help of all our parents we can raise the remaining $1 million by June 30. Want to add your name to the donor list?
