Biography
Mr. Lyons came to St. Mark's in 1995 after practicing labor and employment law in Boston for three years at Ropes & Gray, clerking for Judge Bruce M. Selya on the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals, and teaching history at Saint Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. He has taught a variety of courses at St. Mark's (most recently AP American History, AP European History, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Court and the Constitution) to students in all forms. Outside of the classroom, he is the head coach of the boys cross-country program and the varsity baseball team. He lives on Choate Circle with his wife, Laurie Vance, and four children, Willy, Joey, Louis, and Marianne. In his free time, he enjoys running, golf, hiking, and playing with his kids.
