Director of Music
has been Director of Music at St. Mark's School, Southborough, MA since 2013, and has served as Chair of the Arts Department since 2015. He oversees the music program, directs the Choir and a cappella groups, teaches academic courses in music, and is organist in Belmont Chapel. He has worked in boarding schools for over two decades, having previously held positions at The Putney School, Putney, VT., St. George's School, Newport, R.I., and The Hill School, Pottstown, PA.
Wallace holds bachelors degrees in organ performance and church music from Pacific Lutheran University, the master of music degree in church music and organ from Westminster Choir College, was a Summer Music Education Fellow at Northwestern University, and holds the Advanced Studies Certificate in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California.
James is also Choirmaster and Organist at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Southborough, and has worked in many churches across the country over the years, including St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Glendale, California, the Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge, PA, and Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont, PA.
