Dr. Maureen Russo Rodriguez
Dr. Maureen Russo Rodríguez came to St. Mark’s in the Fall of 2020 from Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas where she was an Associate Professor and director of the interdisciplinary program in Spanish & Latin American Studies. Maureen holds a Ph, D. from Georgetown University in Spanish Literature & Cultural Studies with a specialization in Comparative Literature. She also earned a Masters of Science from Georgetown in Spanish, as well as a B.A. in Italian and Spanish. Maureen has been teaching language, literature, and cultural studies for many years at the university level, both in the U.S. and in Colombia. She has a special passion for encouraging students to broaden their perspectives through international experiences and travel, especially through volunteer work and study abroad. She teaches Spanish at St. Mark’s and loves engaging with students both in and out of the classroom.
