The T. Jefferson Coolidge Jr. '50 Athletic Performance & Wellness Center and the Wiedergott Fitness Room

Supporting Academic Success Through Fitness and Conditioning

St. Mark’s is committed to creating an environment where all members have access to the essential tools to be their best selves so that they can be prepared physically, emotionally and socially to lead lives of consequence.

"The Coolidge Center offers state-of-the-art fitness and conditioning equipment to our entire campus community, presenting new training opportunities for all levels of athletes. It enhances the St. Mark’s experience for all of our students, and I am thrilled about the ways these new and upgraded facilities will benefit our School for many years to come.”

John C. Warren ’74, Head of School

In 2018 we embarked on a significant renovation to Elkins Field House creating a new, cutting-edge $1.2 Million Athletic Performance Center and updated Fitness, named in honor of long-time coach and athletic director, William A. “Fritz” Wiedergott Jr. The Coolidge Center, with 5,000 square feet of new athletic training space, and the Wiedergott Room, sets a new standard of excellence and provides our students with the means necessary to excel athletically and enhance their academic success through peak physical fitness.

"St. Mark’s is a relatively small school that is very proud to compete in the Independent School League, one of the most competitive and prestigious athletic leagues in the country. Given our longstanding commitment to athletics and physical fitness, this facility benefits all student-athletes and inspires them to train and compete at their highest level.
