RUSH
At St. Mark’s School, we are committed to a culture in which our students can live and thrive.
The RUSH campaign—emphasizing Respect, Understanding, Safety, and Honesty—helps to clarify our School values and foster productive conversations around community and equity and residential life issues. RUSH also serves as a useful framework for developing and maintaining healthy relationships at St. Mark’s.
Week 1: RUSH
- Respect - Hold yourself, your community, and others in high regard. Respect is a two-way street; you have to give respect to get respect.
- Understanding - Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.
- Safety - Safety is the awareness of how your actions affect others. Safety does not happen by accident.
- Honesty - Be honest with yourself and with others, for honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom. Be a person of your word.
